Just wrapped up a fabulous order for a Puerto Rican wedding! The bride came to me after I had worked with her maid of honor on her bridal shower. She was so pleased with her shower that she came to me for the wedding too.
She and her now husband really wanted to incorporate their cultures into their big day. Per her request she wanted to have traditional Puerto Rican ‘capia’ favors. These favors included printed ribbon from Puerto Rico with the bride and grooms names and their wedding date. Inside I created little printed cards with the story of the capia – the card were hand punched and scalloped to add that little something extra!
Check out this custom ceramic signature platter the bride gave to the groom at the rehearsal dinner! Fabulous alternative to a traditional guest book!
A few weeks ago I received an email from a blushing bride who had found me on Yelp! She was in search of someone to make her dreams of wedding personalization a reality! Just so happens that I’m the gal for the job! Woohoo!
The bride wanted several custom items made including custom wine tags, custom place cards for guests, custom favor stickers and a custom embosser with the couples new monogram. So I did just that…I began by ordering the the custom embosser to ensure its on time arrival. The bride chose a very romantic script font to show off the new monogram – she ended up using her custom embosser to garnish the vellum covers of her programs. She hung the custom calligraphy wine tags for the bottles of wine she gave to guests. The calligraphy monogram stickers were placed on small boxes of chocolates at each place setting. The custom place cards were icing on the cake! The place cards were embellished with a gold heart stamp to really match the gold calligraphy. We then used punches as meal indicators which is a great way to take minimal attention away from the main theme of the card.
Great turn out! Congratulations to the bride who is enjoying her honeymoon!
A first look at the espresso cup wedding favors I am working on for a wedding in Carmel this May! They are all filled with the most yummy smelling espresso beans too! Yummmmy, my shop smells amazing!
Working on a really cool favor right now for a lovely couple getting married in Carmel! The bride was all about creating something practical for her guests. Unlike the 500 ceramic swans our grandmothers both have from weddings in the 1070’s! She wanted to provide guests with something that would dress up the tables and also be a practical take home.
When she came in for her consultation we kept budget in mind while also trying to be creative. I threw out a couple ideas – but then she got distracted by what she saw on my craft table. I am concurrently working on a bridal shower that is using espresso cups and saucers filled with jordan almonds. The bride saw these and fell in love, she said “I want those!” And that’s exactly what she got 🙂
After we started chatting about ideas of what to fill the cups with she suggest whole espresso beans! Brilliant! So that’s exactly what we did. Now my shop smells amazing and the progress is coming along beautifully!
Stay tuned for the finished product!
I haven’t been under the gun like this in a little while – this project was challenging to say the least! The bride was very particular about what she wanted and how she wanted things to look in her scrapbook – and I had less that 2 weeks to get it right! She brought over her items in installments over the last week and a half – and boy did she save everything! It was so cool to see all the little mementos she saved through out the relationship.
We chronicled events all the way back to 2001 when the couple met at USC through 2009 when the groom played in the world series! The bride saved everything from movie tickets, ball game credentials, post-it notes, cards, corks, love letters and even miniature gold score cards!
Check out the pages below – which one do you like best???
Congratulations to Heather & JP, so happy for you both! May your wedding be everything you dreamed it to be! Love you Heath!
Our baseball wedding is really taking shape! The personalized M&M’s have been placed into the organza baggies – and now I will be adding the baseball cards! How cool is that? Because the groom is a pro ball player the bride really wanted to make sure she incorporated that aspect. I had the cards custom made and they are fabulous quality! The cards will be fastened to the front of the favor with an eggplant colored ribbon. We will have a finished products very soon! YAY!!!
My bride-to-be Heather was ecstatic to know that her personalized M&M’s arrived today! We chose purple and taupe M&M’s to compliment her wedding colors. We also chose two phrases “Just Married” and “Heather & JP” so cute!!! The candy will be filling the favors consisting of taupe organza bags with purple iridescent cardstock tied together with eggplant ribbon.
I am also making good progress on the scrapbook – the initial organization of the photo’s is the most difficult part! Just getting all the photos, notes, cards, mementos and details together is pretty time consuming. Luckily the bride has been coming by For My Sweet P each day to go through all her items and arrange them in date order. When creating something so meaningful, specific direction from the client is especially helpful.
Tune in tomorrow to check out the personalized baseball card I created as a part of the couples favors!
Phase 1 of beautiful bride-to be Heather’s wedding favors got off to a fabulous start! While she is marrying a pro baseball player it was very important to her to incorporate his career with her vision for the wedding. She chose the lovely Fall color of eggplant and we complimented it with a creamy taupe. For this first phase of the favors, I have used an iridescent purple card stock to act as a pliable backing. Next phase will include the personalized M&M’s I have ordered with their names. The candy will go inside the bags and they will then be topped off by a lovely plum ribbon accent on the outside. Then the finishing touch is so cool! Something I wasn’t familiar with but was the brides idea! Stay tuned in to see what it is!
