Onesie Bouquets!

Experimenting with a cool new idea and something the both absolutely adorable and functional….introducing the “Onesie Bouquet” !!! A lovely alternative to giving someone onesies or bibs in a boring old box. Why do that when the presentation can be this cute? I have different designs in production featuring onesies and bibs or just t-shirts etc. Lots of fun trying out all these new combinations!

Stay tuned for more creations 🙂

Crafty Christmas!

Cannot believe the 2010 holiday season is over! It was jam packed this year! Filled with entertaining, decorating, crafty gift giving and lots of baking of course! Here are a couple highlights to this lovely season – including my sisters doggy “Stella” as a lit up reindeer and our dogs “Toula & Taki” having fun at Christmas in the Park in downtown San Jose.

Neutral Baby

Another neutral baby shower it is! This time the cake round was completely personalized with mom-to-be’s first and last name. This cake was built with diapers, onesies and bibs for an extra special touch! This cake also included two frames.

The favors carried on the same theme by using a metallic calligraphy and a matching green stamp on the hand made tags. Each box was filled with Fall colored m&m’s and garnished with sheer gold wired ribbon.

Surprise 10th Anniversary Party!!!

Helping plan this surprise 10th anniversary party was especially fun because it was for a friend and business mentor of mine! We wanted to keep it simple but still incorporate a lot of special details about the couple. The favors I created consisted of solid white boxes filled with shredded paper and color themed m&ms garnished with a calligraphy tag displaying the couples monogram and party date.

I also created custom placecards for the guests with cards that were custom designed by one of my vendors. I then wrote each guests name is silver calligraphy.

The simple but beautiful invitations were also custom made along with a special little poem to make sure the guests knew that the party was a surprise and they came out so cute! To top off with another personal touch, I had my vendor create a custom signature platter with couples colors, monogram and party date – the couple used this instead of a traditional guest book.

Congratulations on 10 years of wedded bliss, and so happy I could be part of it all! 🙂

Puerto Rican Capia Favors!

Just wrapped up a fabulous order for a Puerto Rican wedding! The bride came to me after I had worked with her maid of honor on her bridal shower. She was so pleased with her shower that she came to me for the wedding too.

She and her now husband really wanted to incorporate their cultures into their big day. Per her request she wanted to have traditional Puerto Rican ‘capia’ favors. These favors included printed ribbon from Puerto Rico with the bride and grooms names and their wedding date. Inside I created little printed cards with the story of the capia – the card were hand punched and scalloped to add that little something extra!

Congratulations B&B!

Check out this custom ceramic signature platter the bride gave to the groom at the rehearsal dinner! Fabulous alternative to a traditional guest book!

B’s Bridal Shower

The maid of honor who found me on Yelp! had little time to make a big impression. She came in on a Wednesday for a bridal shower she was throwing that Sunday – this meant crunch time for me! She wanted something simple that would really speak to the brides taste and colors. She brought in her white boxes filled with shiny silver jordan almonds and other goodies, and my job was to make the outside pop!

I used three of the brides colors and garnished the tops of the boxes with sheer ribbon and a calligraphy tag to greet each guests! Great turn out! Yeah!

Raffle It Off!

On Saturday January 9, 2010 St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of San Jose, CA had their annual FDF preview showcasing the Greek dancing that will be performed in the coming competitive weekend. For My Sweet P was asked to donate a gift package with gift cards towards services and did just that! I wanted to create a gift package that displayed the very best I have to offer!

I took two pink heart-shaped boxes and filled them with different favor items such as white heart-shaped espresso cups and saucers, along with pink heart-shaped candy dishes. Inside each of the favors were gift cards towards free calligraphy and favors. The end product was beautifully wrapped and accompanied by an antique frame displaying the packages contents.

So excited to find out who won the gift package in the raffle!
