I am once again flattered by a client who found me via Google that lives out of state…still makes me blush 🙂 She complimented my work so much! She had a unique request for her baptism – it was actually a dual unisex themed baptism in February located in Illinois. She wanted martyrika that were classic, modern and unisex. I worked on a few different designs for her before we settled on this one.
Love, love, love the end result of the ribbed cream ribbon base with the chocolate brown organza bow adorned with a golden cross 🙂
Repeat business in the special event business is not too common – so this client order was extra exciting! During the summer a lovely gal from Australia contacted me for martyrika for her baptism. She wanted something different though, a little glitz and shazaam! So I created this custom design just for her. We did a pink glitter dipped safety pin with a chrome cross, pink mati (evil eye), pink beads and a bow to match. They came out so adorable and my client was over the moon for them which completely made my day 🙂
Hooray for repeat business!
I was so delighted to be a part of another good friends daughters baptism. With lots of pinks as a part of the theme we thought it would be cool to have the martyrika (Greek Baptismal Witness Pins) also be a mix of pinks. With 300 martyrika to make there was gonna be a wholeeeee lot of crafting going on!
There are several steps to getting these done and it starts with a few hours of measuring and ribbon cutting, then fastening the base ribbons, tying the crosses to the bows and fastening the bows to the base ribbon. Last step includes fastening the pin to each bow which has to be done carefully in order for the whole item to stay fastened to the guests. End result = success! Client was happy which makes me even happier! Hooray 🙂
I was so excited about the opportunity to work with a friend of mine on her daughters baptism. She was the mastermind behind it all and I was there to help her bring this sweet vision to life. After going through several ideas we landed on a candy theme. She made the fabulous lolli pop centerpieces (pic #3)
I got to help out with custom monogrammed cupcake toppers that we did in baby pink, hot pink, lime green and teal with a white letter “Y” looooooooved how these came out! I also did 12 paper florals with polka ribbon, a custom monogrammed signature platter and a handmade seating chart.
Check out all the fabulous pics from this lovely event!
Gathered some lovely new supplies for martyrika (Greek Baptismal Witness Pins) from Greece! My new collection includes yellow gold and silver crosses, nautical charms, matia, butterflys along with pastel ivory looking crosses.
Each design may be paired with matching colored ribbon on a safety or straight pin.
Boy was this shadowbox one to remember! I designed this creation for a very special friends daughter who is truly a gift from God. Her baptism was at the end July and as you can see from the last to pictures my friend did an outstanding job planning this joyful event! Everything was topnotch from the lavandar sugar rimmed martinis to the tables being names after beba’s nicknames – too cute!
In the shadowbox I placed all of the most special items from the baptism including a favor, koufeta, program, invitation, monogrammed cocktail napkins, rosemary bouquet and even a fan for the guests to keep cool! I carefully placed all of these beautiful items into the box so it could hang in beba’s bedroom and remind everyone how absolutely fabulous the baptism was! Panta Axios!
